You do not have to be your mother unless she is who you want to be.
You do not have to be your mother's mother, or you mother's mother's mother, or even your grandmother's mother on your father's side.
You may inherit their chins or their hips or their eyes, but you are not destined to become the women who came before you, you are not destined to live their lives.
So if you inherit something, inherit their strength.
If you inherit something, inherit their resilience.
Because the only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.

Daddy :)

My dad thinks I don't love him. But the truth is, I can't imagine my life without him. What would a daughter be without her father? Well I'm not exactly sure and I honestly never want to know. A lot of my friends don't have a close relationship with their fathers and hate them. Some think it's weird that I'm close with my parents but I guess it's just always been that way. Now that I'm older I'm really close with my mom. She's easy to turn to, but there's nothing like hanging out with your old man. My dad and I are like twins. Our personalities are very alike: we're both stubborn, organized, aggressive, strong, athletic, generous, humorous, and we love the finer things in life. Sometimes our personalities tend to clash because of how stubborn we are but atleast I have something that relates to my dad. In moments when I'm upset or make the wrong choice I HATE listening to my dad's advice. But when I'm alone and have time to reflect I realize he's always right on the ball. I honestly love my dad and I know he loves me, too. We may not always get along, but deep down I know we have an unbreakable bond. Daddy, I love you :)
