You do not have to be your mother unless she is who you want to be.
You do not have to be your mother's mother, or you mother's mother's mother, or even your grandmother's mother on your father's side.
You may inherit their chins or their hips or their eyes, but you are not destined to become the women who came before you, you are not destined to live their lives.
So if you inherit something, inherit their strength.
If you inherit something, inherit their resilience.
Because the only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.

Par-tay! :)

Well I have a lot to catch you up on! The rest of the school day on Friday went by really fast. We just watched movies, read books, and signed yearbooks. The last few days of school are always a waste. Right after school I went and got my hair done which went quicker than I thought it would and it looked really good! My hair got a little wavy from the humidity that day so as soon as I got home I straightened my hair. I had about an hour to get ready and I was surprised I actually accomplished it! My grandma, uncle, and cousin came over to take pictures. Ian held my hand and was my pre-pre-party date! Marissa came over at 5:20 ish and she looked beautiful! I loved everything about her outfit and her hair. The boys came over at like 5:40 and they brought us each a red rose which was REALLY sweet! While Marissa and I were getting our stuff together for Jack's party CJ and Lucas were stuck on the porch with my dad.... alone.... I felt so bad! Turns out they were just talking about how men are always waiting for women and wasting a majority of their lifetime doing so. Which made me feel better in a way! Daddy said that he thinks Lucas is a nice kid but he's glad that Lucas is intimidated by him. Once we got to the dance it was a little awkward at first, I thought the party was slow-going but it was fun as it started picking up. I got a butterfly tattoo on the back of my neck and I tried to dunk Mr. Carr in the dunk tank. I don't have anything against Mr. Carr, he was just the person in the tank when I was out there. The dance part of it was alright... I ended up slow-dancing with Matt Murphy because Lucas didn't want to! That was fine with me though because Matt was a pretty good dancer. I danced with Marissa, Brian, and Matt that night which was good. Once the party was over we went over to Jack's house and hung out for a while, then Jack's dad took trips driving us over to Charlie's house where we went night swimming. Marissa and I left early and we had an amazing night hanging out watching Marley and Me and eating candy. I love her so much! We went to bed pretty early though.... It was like 3 or 3:30 when I fell asleep watching the Hangover.
Today I went to Lake Independence to celebrate Anna's birthday! My mom got sooooo lost driving me out there so I felt kind of bad but all was good when I met up with Amy, Amy's mom, Brenna, and Sara. It was raining really hard at the beach and it was pretty chilly but I made the best of it and we ended up going back to Anna's aunt's house and watched movies and made bracelets. Sara, Brenna, and I watched My Sister's Keeper while everybody else watched the 4th Kind. After I left I went over to Jaden's to work on our communications project and I'm pretty sure it will be amazing! With less than a week left of school why are we still doing projects???? It makes no sense! After I left Jaden's I went with my parents to drop my sister off at a sleepover, went to Border's with my daddy, and then to Trader Joes with my parents. While my parents ate dinner I took Sam for a walk because the night ended beautifully. Then I took a shower and now I'm just hanging out in my basement because I'm not tired anymore like I was most of the night, but I got my second wind so now I'm hyper. No plans for tomorrow so I guess I don't have a goal to put like I usually do. But 17 more days until I hit the SoCal! Yay! :)
