You do not have to be your mother unless she is who you want to be.
You do not have to be your mother's mother, or you mother's mother's mother, or even your grandmother's mother on your father's side.
You may inherit their chins or their hips or their eyes, but you are not destined to become the women who came before you, you are not destined to live their lives.
So if you inherit something, inherit their strength.
If you inherit something, inherit their resilience.
Because the only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.

Fun Day with the girls! And mom :)

Well a lot happened since I forced myself to stop typing on Sunday night! Well not too much... But enough to make me want to type it out. I went downstairs in my basement and watched Bend it like Beckham (the other half) and Jerseygirl. While watching Jerseygirl I was on the phone with Lucas talking about my day simply because he missed me and wanted to chat. I wasn't in the best mood for talking but hey, it was cute that he wanted to talk. The next morning I woke up thinking I was going to spend the whole day with Lucas but turns out the day was so nice that everybody wanted to stay late at their cabins. At first, I wasn't too happy about this idea until my sister told me she was going boating with my grandparents, my uncle, and my cousin Ian. I decided to get my butt moving and get ready so I could spend my day doing something productive and fun! So I was out of the house at 11:15 (yeah! I know!!!) and I was on the boat a short time later. We spent the day cruising around, lunch at Fletchers, and then some relaxation time at Big Island. It was a lot of fun and thank god I didn't get any tan lines! I didn't get sunburnt so now I have a nice dark tan that I'm in love with.
Today my day didn't start out too good. I woke up and the missing layer of skin on my eye was a bright red scab across my eyebrow bone. It looked horrible and I was dreading going to school. My anxiety increased as I got closer to school and didn't wear off until after lunch. People weren't too kind about it. I tried my best to make it seem like I was fine with it, I made jokes and silly stories about it before anyone else could. It wasn't a fun morning but I was able to release my anxiety and feel more comfortable when I got a 2nd wind during lunch. After that when people would say something I wouldn't care. People who are mean always will be, but I will not always have that scab. After school I was able to totally switch my day right back around by going to the mall with Marissa and Lily. We looked all around the mall for a dress for Marissa. She found a really cute yellow dress at Macy's and it looks adorable on her! While on the prowl for Marissa's dress I found this super cute white strapless dress that was 65% off so I HAD to buy it! It looked great on me, matched my jewelry, and matched my new shoes! It was perfect! So I returned my old dress and now I have my new one. Hopefully I won't change my mind again. Lily also found this really cute dress thats navy and white and I really really really want her to buy it! So cute! Macy's needs to stop having such cute dresses.... It's so hard to pick! But overall pretty good day. I can't wait for Friday and then Saturday is Anna's party! So many parties... So little time :)
Goal for Tomorrow: Smile :)
