You do not have to be your mother unless she is who you want to be.
You do not have to be your mother's mother, or you mother's mother's mother, or even your grandmother's mother on your father's side.
You may inherit their chins or their hips or their eyes, but you are not destined to become the women who came before you, you are not destined to live their lives.
So if you inherit something, inherit their strength.
If you inherit something, inherit their resilience.
Because the only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.

Sorry....

Okay, I've been horrible at updating my blog. Long story short I've had drivers ed, soccer camp, soccer, soccer party, and hanging out with friends mixed in. So yeah :)

Soccer, soccer, and more soccer!

Well... I haven't exactly been updating this well because of my busy schedule. Well here's the run down.... Our season ended promisingly and we did AMAZING in the Eden Prairie tournament, we got second :) kind of a cheap championship game but I'm not complaining! We worked really hard and we deserved the win... But our awesome medals cheered me up! Well this past week I've been getting up at like the crack of dawn to make it to drivers ed at 8:30 which is really boring... Then I had less than an hour of relaxation before I had to go to the high school soccer tryout prep camp for 2 hours. I also had soccer practice twice within a couple hours of camp! Pretty tiring... Then I had a soccer game yesterday at 6 in St Louis Park against Tonka United and we won off of a shootout! Not everybody made it from my team, but we still did great! Today I had another soccer game at 2 in St Louis Park against West Tonka which was the only team we had lost to in our regular season. The game was 1 to 1 and we had to go into overtime which was really exhausting! We just won districts and got a super cool dog tag! Now we have a regional game on Tuesday at 7. I'm really happy about getting a break from soccer for a day, but not looking forward to waking up for drivers ed. Wish us luck :)

I'm proud to be an American :)

Saturday the 3rd: Well I woke up pretty late but my family still wanted to do something so we got ready to go to Lake Calhoun but I guess we didn't. So my mom got me a book and I just read out in the gazebo pretty much the rest of the day.
Sunday the 4th: HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! Well it's kinda late for that but oh well its still an important holiday! I spent the morning sleeping in bed and then the rest of my day was spent on the boat with my grandparents, uncle, cousin Ian, my parents, and sister. It may sound overwhelming to some, but it's fun for me! I really like being around my family. We haven't done something like this in a while so it was good to get the good ol' Jacobson family back together (well the part of the family that could fit on the boat). Anyways.... we went to Excelsior and guess what I ate.... A CORNDOG! Yes, the best thing ever on a stick. Well my craving wasn't satisfied even though I had 3 corndogs at Valleyfair I hope I can go to either Valleyfair or the State Fair sometime soon! After I got my corndog my mini family (dad, mom, sis) walked to the ice cream store in town to get ice cream. Yummy yummy! It was really good and I'm glad I got that. We boated over to Big Island and just relaxed for a while before heading home. We didn't see fireworks but that's okay! I had seen them earlier in the week and I had a horrible headache from them so I wasn't hoping to see them again.... well at least until next year!
Monday the 5th: I met with my friend Kara which was really good and then I went over to my grandma and grandpas for dinner. Dinner went well and we got to watch the Bacholorette on the big screen in the basement! I had a really great time and my grandma just makes me laugh :) In a good way!
Tuesday the 6th: Well I took my dog Sam for a long walk and let her go swimming! It was really fun until I got home and had to torture her by giving her a bath. I felt bad about it, but my punishment was spending the rest of the humid afternoon staying outside with her while her fur dried. I kinda made a few excuses to run inside! But I enjoyed my quality time with her! I also went to soccer practice which was a killer. I spent the rest of the night just.... relaxing.... how awesome.
I have the last game of the season tomorrow! ahhhhh! so excited! happy its a home game and we should win :)

I'm now a Minnesota Girl

Monday: Because of hurricane Alex the tides and currents were too rough to go surfing at 6 a.m. So instead I got to sleep in :) Once I got up we made a plan to go see my uncle Art's grave. But then my aunt's neighbor Mikey called and said we would be able to go surfing around 11. He picked us up and drove us to the Venice Beach Pier. The beach was quiet partially because it was a weekday and partially because the weather was horrible. The sky was overcast and a chilling wind pierced your bare skin with each force. I could barely carry my surfboard because it was so heavy and my arms were way too short to carry the board! So embarassing! Everybody noticed that my sister and I were from out of town. We couldn't catch any waves because the waves crashed too close to each other making it impossible for us to turn our boards and paddle in time. We went home quick to shower and then continued our plans to go to the cemetary. On the way we went to my favorite frozen yogurt place called Pinkberry and got into a fight with a lady who was in line with her evil imps. We reached the cemetary just after the sun FINALLY came out. My uncle's stone was beautiful. His spot was perfect, he was right by his favorite boxer Sugar Ray Robinson (I believe that is his name). We spent over an hour sitting there talking to him and eating our Pinkberry marveling at the nerve the woman at Pinkberry had to get so fiesty with my aunt. We walked around the cemetary looking at people's headstones wondering what their life was like and the family they left behind. We had to go up to the cemetary's office to let them know that some stones were completely covered with grass. My aunt was a little unsure at first about going but I told her she would want somebody to do that for her or her relative. While my aunt talked to the lady at the front desk and went to the bathroom my sister and I sat down next to a lady who thought we were celebrities who belonged in the movies, after we graciously thanked her she asked us if we were twins. I heard that so much out there! I honestly didn't think my sister and I were so twin-like? But anyways.... We had a good day! It was good to be there for my aunt because she really needed somebody. For dinner we had In-N-Out again and watched Rumor Has It until I passed out in Art's room.
Tuesday: We spent most of the morning getting ready to leave. Around 1 we went to the Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade again and I got a shirt for myslef and a shirt for my mom! We left around 3:30 to get to the airport. Way too much happened at the airport and I don't really want to talk about it again because it gave me such a headache. We got to our plane just in time and my sister cried when we had to say goodbye. I choked back my tears because I had to be the strong one for my sister. Our flight back was quick and I was happy to see my parents again.
Wednesday: Not much happened during the day! I had a soccer game at 6 at Wayzata High School which we won! Then I raced over to Music in Plymouth and hung out with Marissa, Lily, Alexis, Alec, Cj, Jack, Justin, Collin, and Matt. We just walked around and watched the fireworks. Pretty good night.
Thursday: I cleaned my room and then went to Costco with my parents. After Costco my parents dropped me off at my grandma's. I gave her her presents from California that we made her and bought from Forever 21. We baked my cousin's favorite cookies and then went to Ulta where she got a cream thing and I got nail polish and a cute headband. We went home to frost our cookies and OMG they were good! I showed my grandma the basics of facebook and let her check up on some of my old friends. It was really nice spending time with her without my sister. I really enjoyed it. After I went home I went to soccer and got killed with sprints. I'm not exactly sure why they didn't work as they normally do but it just killed! The rest of the night I just relaxed.
Friday: My mom woke me up this morning because she wanted a friend! How cute! I spent the morning watching t.v. Then we went to Lake Minnetonka to go wakeboarding as a family but it was too windy. We spent two hours enjoying the sunshine and then went home to have a pizza night and watch Youth In Revolt which was a horrible movie. Now I'm just.... blogging :) Don't have any plans for tomorrow yet!

Daddy :)

My dad thinks I don't love him. But the truth is, I can't imagine my life without him. What would a daughter be without her father? Well I'm not exactly sure and I honestly never want to know. A lot of my friends don't have a close relationship with their fathers and hate them. Some think it's weird that I'm close with my parents but I guess it's just always been that way. Now that I'm older I'm really close with my mom. She's easy to turn to, but there's nothing like hanging out with your old man. My dad and I are like twins. Our personalities are very alike: we're both stubborn, organized, aggressive, strong, athletic, generous, humorous, and we love the finer things in life. Sometimes our personalities tend to clash because of how stubborn we are but atleast I have something that relates to my dad. In moments when I'm upset or make the wrong choice I HATE listening to my dad's advice. But when I'm alone and have time to reflect I realize he's always right on the ball. I honestly love my dad and I know he loves me, too. We may not always get along, but deep down I know we have an unbreakable bond. Daddy, I love you :)

In-N-Out and Hot Tubs :)

Well it took a while to make a plan this morning, but that was all good because it was really relaxing! We eventually decided to go to my favorite fast food restaurant ever called In-N-Out. It has the best fries in the entire world. I'm kind of glad that I don't live out here because I would become obese rather quickly. After lunch my sister and I walked over to the nearby grocery store to return a movie while my aunt got food for her friend. Crossing the street was a challenge! Turns out, people in California are extremely rude and busy. We popped home really quick to get our swimsuits and then went over to my aunt's friends' condo. WOW IS IT BEAUTIFUL. The place is probably the cleanest and nicest looking place I've ever been in. The owner of the condo is named Bas, he's from Holland. He has a thick accent but his eye for interior designing is unbelievable. For a living he decorates peoples' houses and he has great taste. After we saw the condo, we went down to the pool and hung out in the sun and went in the hot tub. I had a lot of fun and we left around 5. After that we went home and now we're just relaxing. We'll have to get up at 6 tomorrow if we want to go surfing so I'm kind of excited for that. I'm a little worried about the temperature of the water though! I'll let you know how it goes :)

Welcome to the Pier!

Well the day started out really really bad. The sky was overcast and the day wasn't looking like a good one. But our plan was to go to Santa Monica Pier. We spent most of the morning at home while my aunt and sister made bracelets, eventually we got super hungry so we decided to go to this restaurant right by my aunt's house. We walked past this one of her neighbor's houses and she wanted to go in and see if he would take us surfing tomorrow. At first I didn't really want to, I barely knew this guy so I didn't really want to go meet him. But it was worth it! Oh my god... You just had to be there.... His grandson was over and he turned out to be a babe! On my first trip out to California my parents took the kid's stroller to the zoo and they had pictures of me and Tristan playing at the park. Now, here he was 14 years later! He's 15 but he will be a freshman too. He lives in Orange County, California and I really hate him for that... But anyways... I totally embarassed myself. My one opportunity to impress him I totally screwed up. The boys were throwing around a tennis ball in the living room and somebody threw it wrong and it landed by me. So I picked it up and attempted to throw it back. But I was in the kitchen that has lower ceilings compared to the open-high-ceiling living room so when I over-hand tossed it to Tristan it bounced off the wall of the kitchen and hit my aunt in the face. Whoops! I was so embarassed! My sister didn't make it any better after she threw another one and it hit Tristan's cousin in the face. But we still got invited to go see fireworks with them, which we sadly had to decline. Lunch was really good and then we went to Santa Monica Pier with my aunt and her 10 year old neighbor Veronica. It was really busy. We went on the roller coaster and unfortunately it was kind of lame compared to the ones I'm used to in Minnesota. But we still had fun. I sat next to this Mexican guy with dreadlocks on the roller coaster and thank god I got a picture! After Veronica got an ice cream cone we went back to the car. Now I'm at home eating licorice that Tristan's mom brought over that we stole... haha. So now I'm pretty sure I'll be going surfing in California on Monday which I'm pretty excited about! But I'm not too sure yet because I still have a fear of surfing.... But I'll let you know what I do! I'm not yet sure what we will do tomorrow. Something fun for sure! I miss home though, I want my mommy and my puppies!!!! God... I'm such a baby :)

Relaxation :)

Yesterday my day was so relaxing. I woke up, got ready pretty fast and then took the dogs to the groomers to get their hair cut. The walk there took a while because the dogs really don't know how to walk but the walk back was simple. After that we spent some time looking at apartments and condos in the Apartment Finder. When we were done we went to Costco to get some basic supplies, then we went to another grocery store to get the smaller things we needed. Then we went home and hung out around the house. I tanned on the patio and read my book. After we got the dogs we made ankle bracelets out of beads that my aunt buys all the time. I made an anklet and a bracelet with a charm. After that we watched the movie Shes Out Of My League, which was really funny! A little weird but overall it was a funny movie. After that I HAD to go to sleep. I was so exhausted. I woke up around 9 this morning (11 our time) and found out Buster had eaten my toothbrush. It was in total pieces and only 3 bristles were remaining. So I guess I'll have to find a new toothbrush! I'm not quite sure what we're doing today because it's only 10 and normally the sky is still overcast for a while. I should probably put another top coat on my nails so I'll update later!

Nails, Santa Monica, Pinkberry=LOVE

Yesterday we went to Manhattan Beach to get our nails done! The mall was super nice but the nail place was super busy so we had to leave. We went to lunch at the L.A. Food Show which is made by the California Pizza Kitchen people. Lunch was really good! Then we went to this place called Diane's and looked at the cute swimsuits they had. Then we went to a place in Marina del Ray to get our nails done. My sister and I got a French manicure and my Aunt Darlene got a pedicure. After that we went to the grocery store to get breakfast food. Then we went home and ate dinner. After dinner we watched the movie Valentine's Day. I think Darlene liked it because she laughed at all the good parts. I was exhausted after the movie so I literally passed out in the office and slept for what seemed like days. In the morning I mostly read a book, I'm reading a book called "The Year We Disappeared". It's a non-fiction book about a police officer who gets shot in the face and how his family has to completely change their lifestyle in order to stay safe. The book is really hard to put down. I guess that's the kind of reader I am, once I find a really good book that I like I have the worst time setting it down because I NEED to know what happens next otherwise it drives me crazy. Once I was able to pry the book from my fingertips we took the dogs for a little walk so they could get their exercise. They are littler dogs so they don't need too much, but we just wanted to release some energy. After that, we went down to Santa Monica to th 3rd Street Promenade which is an outdoor mall that has shops that we don't have here in Minnesota. WE GOT SO MUCH STUFF. I'm kind of embarassed now that I look at everything we got. See.... This is a future argument for my parents for us not to move here. I'll totally develop a shopping addiction because the stores we went to had such great deals. Also, the sales tax here is ridiculously high so stuff gets pretty expensive sometimes. The clothes are cheap, its the tax that can drive you crazy. I guess we shopped and spent a lot to relieve our frustration of waiting forever for our food at this one restaurant. Our day was great, we got nice stuff, enjoyed the scenery, made memories, it was hard to believe the day could take such a nasty turn. Abby and I were getting our picture taken in front of this dinosaur sculpture thing that shoots out water by our aunt Darlene. She took the picture with my camera and I wanted a picture of all 3 of us so we asked a guy to take our picture, he agreed, and my aunt put all of her bags, jacket, and purse on the ground behind us. We were kind of in a hurry because the dogs were used to getting fed around 5 and it was approaching 6:30 so we hurried. My aunt didn't notice that she had left her $500 camera that was a birthday present from my uncle Art on the ground. So we left and came home to discover it was nowhere in sight. So we went back to Santa Monica at 8:15 at night (not the best idea because usually gang members get down there around that time). So we went around looking for it but we had no luck. So to cheer us up we went to this place called Pinkberry. It's a frozen yogurt store the celebrities love. You get any flavor you want and put as many toppings as you want on it. It was pretty busy in there and I was terrified of walking back to our car so late at night but it was worth it. The drive home didn't make me feel any better about my safety. We ran into a few rough crowds and I was so happy when I saw my aunt Darlene's house. Man, I feel so safe now typing this on my aunt's macbook in her kitchen. I've got it so good right now. I feel so lucky. Tomorrow the dogs are going to the groomers and after running and running for the past few days I kind of just want to lay around and relax tomorrow. I should probably go eat my Pinkberry now. Update you guys later :)

First Day in California :)

After getting only 4 hours of sleep I had an extremely long morning.... I got up at six and was at the airport around 7:15. All of our unaccompanied minor stuff got screwed up so my mom got stressed out because she was by herself and doesn't really understand the airport. Well a lot of things held us back and we got to the gate right on time. Note to minors... All Delta employees treat you like you are 5 years old. They acted like I've never flown before or seen an airplane. We played "follow the leader" down the boarding tunnel. The flight luckily went by quickly and I met up with my aunty Darlene at the gate :) we went to lunch with her friend Sara who is the funniest 80 year old woman I've ever met. She's got more energy than me! After we got back and unpacked we went to Venice Beach and walked skateboarders in the new skatepark on the beach. After we got bored we walked down the boardwalk and went shopping. I got these really cool heart shaped sunglasses and a tank top that says I <3 L.A. I was really happy about it! Then we hung out at home before we got a pizza at Costco. Dinner was good and then we talked about jewelry which was really fun! I'm having a great time and I doubt I'll be able to leave :)

Excited. . .

Hours go way too slowly... I'm way too excited. My flight for California leaves in under 12 hours. I didn't have time to take a unisom so now I'm wide awake. It's late... I want to sleep... But the place I was destined to be at is waiting for me and I know it's excited too.
In my early childhood I didn't think there was anything wrong with Minnesota. Until I was older and understood the beauty, wealth, and happiness that California had to offer. It's amazing to me that one place in the world can be so beautiful and hold everything I want. It's perfect. For 200 years California has coaxed millions of people to it's golden coastline. And I will someday be one of them. I already know I'll be going to school in either Malibu or Thousand Oaks, I already know my house will be just north of Santa Barbara and 15 minutes inland, and I know Minnesota will forever remain in my rearview mirror but I won't look back.
Paradise is calling my name... But so is my pillow. I guess I'll have to choose that first...

Sorry People :)

Okay I seriously was addicted to blogging and now I never go on so I have to randomly update you on large portions of my life...
Tuesday: I spent the day recovering from my sleepover with Marissa.
Wednesday: I went to the mall and hung out with Lily, Jack, and Matt. Wow how I missed Lily! Seeing her made me so much happier :) I had a lot of fun! Then I had to go to my soccer game in Minnetrista and we were playing at Westonka High School. I scored a goal off of my left foot in the left corner! The ball went into the goalie's hands but then slipped and slid right across the line. I was so happy! But sadly we are no longer undefeated... We lost the game 3 to 2. I was really mad after the game but I held it together. We went over to the Minnetonka Drive-In and I got food so my anger was released. I also got a really nasty bruise on my knee which I'm not too happy about.
Thursday: All I did was hang out outside, clean the house for my mom, and then went to a doctor's appointment which went well! A really bad storm happened that night that left the sky looking a funky yellow color so I was a little freaked out...
Friday: I had to wake up pretty early and then go to the Blaine Sports Center for the Walmart Tourney. I had a game at 9:45 which we lost 11 to 0. Embarassing. Our team then went to Perkins for brunch and then we all went to Target! At Target I got stuff for California! My next game was at 3, we played Hastings and won 5 to 3. I scored a really cool goal which broke the tie! After my game I ran home quick to shower then went over to Jack's to hang out with him, Marissa, and Cj. I met Jack's mom again and she is sooooo nice! Jack had to go to dinner so then Marissa, Cj, and I went to the park where we attempted to go down a slide like a chooo-chooo train! haha didn't work out very well... Marissa ended up with burns on her! Then Cj left and Marissa and I went to Macaroni Grill with her parents! After that we went back to the park again with Jack, and then I went home!
Saturday: Luckily I had a later game so I got to sleep in later. We played Morehead and we lost 3 to 1. But in this game I played extremely well (even got player of the game for it!). I scored the only goal after trying to cross it in but it went over the goalie's head and into the corner of the net! Instead of bonding with my team we went home and I decorated our car with team spirit! Our next game was at 6:30 vs. Chisago Lakes which we tied 2 to 2. I didn't score and I didn't get much playing time but I was happy to rest my quad a little. Now I don't have soccer for a while so I feel a little weird not wearing sporty shorts or shoes that cover my toes!
Sunday: Today I went to Costco, Michael's, and Barnes and Noble to get things for my trip. I think I'm all set now! After that I hung out at home with my family. We had dinner together and then we went to the park by our house. When we got home I was really excited to eat the apple pie my mom bought but it wasn't apple pie! It had PEACHES in it! YUCKY! So we took it back and got an apple pie which was delicious :) I spent the rest of my night watching bad reality t.v.
I HAVE ONLY ONE MORE DAY LEFT BEFORE CALIFORNIA! YES!

My Monday

Yesterday I went to a bookstore in Linden Hills called the Wild Rumpus with my cousin Ian, my grandma, and my sister. The bookstore is for children and they have animals all around the bookstore you can play with. They had a cat named Daniel (Ian's personal favorite), a few chickens, chinchillas, parakeets, mice, ferrets, a tarantulla, a lizard, and other stuff. The only place in the store that smells bad though is the ferret cage which is surprising. Ian tried to get Daniel to play with him but eventually gave up on him and played with a chicken which my grandma later named Ms. Cluck. haha. After we were done there we went to Creative Kids Stuff and my grandma got me these really cool Dinosaur shaped rubber bands! There are soooo cool. Then we went and got ice cream which is a much more difficult task that I originally thought. My little cousin got chocolate all over him! It was pretty adorable though. When I got home I briefly hung out with my mom and then went over to Marissa's and Cj and Jack were already over there. We walked over to Dairy Queen hung out there for a while and then Marissa's mom took us to Burger King (I'm honestly surprised we're not obese). When we were done eating we went to the Medina Bowling Alley and Marissa and I went bowling. The boys were too cool to bowl. Marissa beat me. She was really good. Cj left early so Jack had to deal with Marissa and I. haha. We went to Target and I got spongebob shaped mac and cheese and Marissa got velveeta and seven-up. Interesting combo! Then my mom picked us up, in the car we got into this weird conversation about how Jack wanted to take advantage of me? But what he meant was he wanted to use the fact that I'm older than him and can drive sooner to his advantage. When we got home it was about 9:30 and we were making mac and cheese in my kitchen. Weird thing to be doing but it was fun and yummy! Jack left a little after ten and Marissa's mom came with her sleepover stuff around 11 so around 11:30 we were in my basement and decided to watch the Titanic. SAD MOVIE!!! The movie was 3 hours and 15 minutes long so we were up pretty late! I then passed out and woke up around 11:30 when my mom went into the basement to get a paper towel roll. Now I'm pretty exhausted. Marissa went home around 1 and now I have nothing to do. Tomorrow is supposed to be really nice but unfortunately I can't go outside or to the beach because my soccer coach wants us to conserve our energy for our game that night... So my only pre-California-tanning-day is gone :( Hopefully Thursday will be really nice so I can go outside and enjoy the sunshine. In less than 7 days I'll be a California girl! Fun times!

Too Much in a Short Amount of Time

It's been nearly a week since I last went on here... Too much has happened.
On Sunday, I went to the beach with Marissa. We ended up meeting up with Ben Critzer, Alex Bartemio, and James Brown. They were skateboarding and they just kind of hung out at the beach with us. Then we walked over to Caribou because me and Marissa were hungry, then we went to McDonald's which is like really far away from Caribou but luckily the walk went by fast. Then I got bored of laying around and chilling at a fast food place so I got Ben to walk to the beach with me. We kinda ditched everybody else but somehow Alex caught up with us. I was kinda mad at him because he killed the skateboard I got Andrew for Christmas and Andrew gave it to Ben and then Ben let Alex borrow it but now its in 2 pieces... Kinda a sad day. When we got to the beach I was the only person in my swimsuit so I went in the water but tried to get the guys to come in too, but they didn't. They said they would if I jumped off the Wayzata Beach bridge and that wasn't happening so yeah! After I left the beach I went to soccer practice and that was pretty much the rest of my night.
Monday: Last Monday as an eighth grader :( I don't really remember anything about Monday other than I sat in the front with Mr. Metzler in Math. So moving on!
Tuesday: I think on Tuesday it was really rainy so my mom took me to go get new shorts for valleyfair. That's about all I remember!
Wednesday: I had a soccer game by Fort Snelling. We played Minneapolis United and I absolutely hate that team. We played the team that's a level above them in a tournament and since then I haven't had the best memories for that team. The c3 team we played on wednesday was mean.. They loved to push and fake you out. It sucked! We ended up with a tie. It was 1 to 1 and our goal was scored off of Katrina's hand so we kinda cheated.
Thursday: Well this paragraph is going to be long... Well I was happy about getting to sleep in an hour later but I wasn't happy about the weather outside which was cloudy and had a high chance of rain. I was so excited to run around in my shorts and tank top but instead I wore shorts and a sweatshirt. I was really happy my mom made me because it ended up raining so I had a hood to sort of protect my straightened hair. The morning at school wasn't too bad, the only I was sad about was dropping my phone on the science room floor (which is tile) so the battery popped out and I had to redo it. Lucky for our class, we were on the second bus so we would be one of the first people from our school to arrive at Valleyfair. The bus ride there could've been better, we ended up in a huge traffic jam trying to enter the school because the line of buses was super long and extended for over a mile. There were so many kids there! I don't think I saw too many adults there, except teachers. The lines were pretty bad at first and they really cracked down on the budging issue which was really good. I was so happy because I got a corndog :) well techincally I got like 3 because I had a regular one and then a jumbo one. Yummy!!! haha I already want another one.. I rode every ride I wanted to with Jack McGeehan which was good because he wasn't scared of anything. Cj lost his phone when it fell out of his pocket on the Steel Venom. It's kind of in pieces right now! The day ended pretty quickly and I was mad that my hair was a little bit natural once we left. The bus ride back was pretty uneventful so when we got back to school we just said our goodbyes and then went back to our parents. Marissa came home with me and we went over to Cjs. At Cjs we jumped on the tramp for a while and then Brian, Jack, and Matt showed up and joined us. We played around for a while and then they wanted to go to Amy's house. Well... I wasn't invited to Amy's so I thought it would be really rude if I just show up, you know? So Brian called and got the okay from Amy. But I still wasn't too comfortable with it... I ended up getting Cj and Marissa to walk back with me because I felt so uncomfortable there. My mom came and got me shortly after we got back to Cj's and she was like a savior. I was so happy to see her car. She made me feel better for the rest of the night, I ended up watching Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion which is this movie about these two girls who were total losers in high school and still are now, but they have to go to their tenth reunion looking better than in high school. They end up messing up somehow but people begin to love their personality. It was a funny movie and sort of lifted my spirits.
Friday: On Friday my mom, sister, and I went shopping. We couldn't find what we were looking for so we came home with only vanilla wafers. My sister left for a sleepover and I was supposed to have people over, but plans changed and I ended up going to Rocky's pizza in Brooklyn Park with my mom. We rented New Moon and wasted 2 hours of our life watching that movie. I remember thinking the movie was awesome and the best thing ever when I saw it in theaters but now I just see all the fakeness about the Twilight Saga. After my mom went to sleep I watched this weird movie called Forever Young with Mel Gibson and Jamie Lee Curtis. It was about this guy who lives in the 1930s and he has his friend freeze himself at his age and put him in a coma for a year in order to not watch his true love die. Well the coma lasts a lot longer than he expected and he wakes up in the 1990s and starts living with these kids. Well anyways.... he starts aging and he's scared he's going to die. But as he's aging the FBI is catching on with what is going on. So basically he runs away from the FBI and finds out his best friend (the one who put him in a coma) married his true love because she didn't die. They had a family together and this beautiful house so Mel Gibson is sad until he finds out she's still somehow alive and then they meet up and it's all good. After the movie was over I passed out on the basement couch and then slowly made my way back upstairs when I woke up at like 2 in the morning.
Saturday: Half of my day was spent helping my mom clean the house. I got paid and the jobs I had to do weren't that bad! So I was happy I did it. When I was done I went to the Albertville Outlet Mall with my grandma and Abby. Abby got a swimsuit for California at Aeropostale and I got a swimsuit at Pac Sun. When we got home around seven my parents' friends were over with their 2 kids Livie who is 9 and Josie who is 6. They were so cute! They loved talking about that website Webkinz and all the pets they had. It was so adorable! It reminded me of the good old days! I had steak for dinner and that was pretty good! While the girls were over we watched Big Fat Liar and Scooby-Doo (the movie with the actual human actors, not the cartoon). While they watched the movie I was alphabetizing all of the movies we currently own. It didn't take too long and I learned that we own about 225 movies (a majority of them have never been watched). Also another thing I learned was that USA and England tied in their world cup match, thanks to the biggest mistake ever by the English goalie! I was pretty happy about that but I know USA could do so much better. Today Germany and Australia are playing so maybe I should watch that.
Sunday: I woke up about an hour earlier than normal because I had to go to church to meet up with the director of the Ministry of Inclusion. Basically what she does is match youth like me up with kids who have special needs and we help them grow in their faith just like every other kid does, but we just provide more support. The lady was really nice and it was nice to hear that the church had the same ideas about special needs children as I do. So hopefully this summer I will get my buddy and make a difference. After we had our meeting she let me hang out with the little kids who are doing Sunday School in the summer. The little kids were really cute! It was adorable seeing all the girls dressed up in dresses with little high heels! When I left church my da took me to Culver's because I had the worst craving ever for a hamburger specifically from there. Weird. I know. I ended up seeing a girl I knew from elementary school but I doubt she saw me and if she would've I don't think she would've recognized me. When I got home I watched that Paul Blart: Mall Cop movie with my sister and now I'm writing this... I have a game tonight against Chan-Chaska at Oakwood Elementary at about 7:15. Going to be a good game since they are like.... undefeated! Yikes! But whatever...
There's about 9 days left to wait until I go to California and I'm sooooooo excited! I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE! I absolutely hate Minnesota right now so I really really need a break and I think a week will do the trick!
I am obsessed with the song Winner by Jamie Foxx, Justin Timberlake, and T.I. it's about being really cocky and thinking your really cool. haha. It gets me really pumped so I'm going to listen to it before my game. Wish me luck!

Par-tay! :)

Well I have a lot to catch you up on! The rest of the school day on Friday went by really fast. We just watched movies, read books, and signed yearbooks. The last few days of school are always a waste. Right after school I went and got my hair done which went quicker than I thought it would and it looked really good! My hair got a little wavy from the humidity that day so as soon as I got home I straightened my hair. I had about an hour to get ready and I was surprised I actually accomplished it! My grandma, uncle, and cousin came over to take pictures. Ian held my hand and was my pre-pre-party date! Marissa came over at 5:20 ish and she looked beautiful! I loved everything about her outfit and her hair. The boys came over at like 5:40 and they brought us each a red rose which was REALLY sweet! While Marissa and I were getting our stuff together for Jack's party CJ and Lucas were stuck on the porch with my dad.... alone.... I felt so bad! Turns out they were just talking about how men are always waiting for women and wasting a majority of their lifetime doing so. Which made me feel better in a way! Daddy said that he thinks Lucas is a nice kid but he's glad that Lucas is intimidated by him. Once we got to the dance it was a little awkward at first, I thought the party was slow-going but it was fun as it started picking up. I got a butterfly tattoo on the back of my neck and I tried to dunk Mr. Carr in the dunk tank. I don't have anything against Mr. Carr, he was just the person in the tank when I was out there. The dance part of it was alright... I ended up slow-dancing with Matt Murphy because Lucas didn't want to! That was fine with me though because Matt was a pretty good dancer. I danced with Marissa, Brian, and Matt that night which was good. Once the party was over we went over to Jack's house and hung out for a while, then Jack's dad took trips driving us over to Charlie's house where we went night swimming. Marissa and I left early and we had an amazing night hanging out watching Marley and Me and eating candy. I love her so much! We went to bed pretty early though.... It was like 3 or 3:30 when I fell asleep watching the Hangover.
Today I went to Lake Independence to celebrate Anna's birthday! My mom got sooooo lost driving me out there so I felt kind of bad but all was good when I met up with Amy, Amy's mom, Brenna, and Sara. It was raining really hard at the beach and it was pretty chilly but I made the best of it and we ended up going back to Anna's aunt's house and watched movies and made bracelets. Sara, Brenna, and I watched My Sister's Keeper while everybody else watched the 4th Kind. After I left I went over to Jaden's to work on our communications project and I'm pretty sure it will be amazing! With less than a week left of school why are we still doing projects???? It makes no sense! After I left Jaden's I went with my parents to drop my sister off at a sleepover, went to Border's with my daddy, and then to Trader Joes with my parents. While my parents ate dinner I took Sam for a walk because the night ended beautifully. Then I took a shower and now I'm just hanging out in my basement because I'm not tired anymore like I was most of the night, but I got my second wind so now I'm hyper. No plans for tomorrow so I guess I don't have a goal to put like I usually do. But 17 more days until I hit the SoCal! Yay! :)

Social Studies :)

I am currently in Social Studies sitting next to Lily and Kierra watching a scary movie about Darfur and chatting in an educational chat room with my classmates. The only thing on my mind of course is tonight. So far the plan is: Hair done at 3:30, Marissa over at 5, Cj and Lucas over at 5:30, party at 6:30, Jack's at 9, and then Marissa and Lily are most likely coming over for a sleepover. I got my yearbook so that's a little distracting... I got a 33 out of 39 on my science test so I'm a little happy about that. Yeah I should probably get back to class and pay attention so I can learn SOMETHING today.
Goal for the day: Keep up my good attitude and wake up a little :) I'm sleepy :)

C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A :)

Yesterday was a pretty good day. Nothing memorable except a meeting at the Animal Humane Society about volunteering there with my mommy. It looks really fun! The meeting lasted an hour and it was kind of boring... But after the meeting my mom and I went to the dog adoption floor and saw some cuties! They had a black lab that looked like Lucy's twin... Seriously... It was a lot younger so I'm thinking it was just her cousin. But then I saw this Great Pyrenees/Mastiff mix named Godfrey that I fell in love with. His fuzzy, big muzzle and sad puppy eyes (he was 4) made my heart melt. I wanted to take him home with me! I honestly have no idea how I'm ever going to leave that placed without getting attached or forming a bond with one of them. I'm such a softy.... someday my kids will want a dog, show it to me, and then I will just form a connection with that dog and add them to our household. If that happens I will have so many pets... Oh my G! Other than that, my day was boring.
Today school was good. I have a science final that I'm nervous for. Tonight I'm going to soccer practice and getting Anna a present for her birthday! Tomorrow is the big party :) Yay!!!
Also.... I'M GOING TO CALIFORNIA THIS SUMMER!!!! I'm leaving on Tuesday, June 22nd at 9:15 a.m. and coming back on Tuesday June 29th at midnight. I'm really excited! It will be just my sister and I for the week with my Aunt Darlene but I know things will be really fun. I now have something to look forward to this summer besides getting a tan.
Goal for Tomorrow: Enjoy the party and have lots and lots of fun with my buds :)

Fun Day with the girls! And mom :)

Well a lot happened since I forced myself to stop typing on Sunday night! Well not too much... But enough to make me want to type it out. I went downstairs in my basement and watched Bend it like Beckham (the other half) and Jerseygirl. While watching Jerseygirl I was on the phone with Lucas talking about my day simply because he missed me and wanted to chat. I wasn't in the best mood for talking but hey, it was cute that he wanted to talk. The next morning I woke up thinking I was going to spend the whole day with Lucas but turns out the day was so nice that everybody wanted to stay late at their cabins. At first, I wasn't too happy about this idea until my sister told me she was going boating with my grandparents, my uncle, and my cousin Ian. I decided to get my butt moving and get ready so I could spend my day doing something productive and fun! So I was out of the house at 11:15 (yeah! I know!!!) and I was on the boat a short time later. We spent the day cruising around, lunch at Fletchers, and then some relaxation time at Big Island. It was a lot of fun and thank god I didn't get any tan lines! I didn't get sunburnt so now I have a nice dark tan that I'm in love with.
Today my day didn't start out too good. I woke up and the missing layer of skin on my eye was a bright red scab across my eyebrow bone. It looked horrible and I was dreading going to school. My anxiety increased as I got closer to school and didn't wear off until after lunch. People weren't too kind about it. I tried my best to make it seem like I was fine with it, I made jokes and silly stories about it before anyone else could. It wasn't a fun morning but I was able to release my anxiety and feel more comfortable when I got a 2nd wind during lunch. After that when people would say something I wouldn't care. People who are mean always will be, but I will not always have that scab. After school I was able to totally switch my day right back around by going to the mall with Marissa and Lily. We looked all around the mall for a dress for Marissa. She found a really cute yellow dress at Macy's and it looks adorable on her! While on the prowl for Marissa's dress I found this super cute white strapless dress that was 65% off so I HAD to buy it! It looked great on me, matched my jewelry, and matched my new shoes! It was perfect! So I returned my old dress and now I have my new one. Hopefully I won't change my mind again. Lily also found this really cute dress thats navy and white and I really really really want her to buy it! So cute! Macy's needs to stop having such cute dresses.... It's so hard to pick! But overall pretty good day. I can't wait for Friday and then Saturday is Anna's party! So many parties... So little time :)
Goal for Tomorrow: Smile :)

Airheads make the world a better place :)

Wow, it's been a while! Look's like I gotta update you...
Wednesday: I had my soccer game against Eden Prairie at Wayzata High School. The first half of the game our team did great and the score at the half was 2 to 0. I guess we got cocky and lazy so we let 2 goals in at the second half. I'm very upset that we lost, but we are still undefeated and Michaela said they would be the hardest team we play at our level so I'm pretty excited about the rest of our season. Alexis scored the first goal of the game and it was a really pretty shot. I scored the second goal off a cross from our goalie/forward Christy and I was really happy. Both sides of grandparents came along with my mom, dad, and sister. Lily was also there to watch Alexis with Justin. I don't have soccer for a while because my coach is on vacation at a wedding in Mexico so I'm sad about that because I'm finally in the soccer groove and I'm getting pumped so taking a break like this makes my muscles hurt... :(
Thursday: Well not much happened other than a mini fight with Lucas and then an awkward night at CJs. Yeah... I'm not going to talk about it.... But I had fun being around Marissa, she is like my best friend.
Friday: Mr. Metzler sang his song that he wrote for the blue team and he did pretty good. He bashed the right people, except for Lucas, which he called a pouter which makes no sense to me. His verse about period 4 was mainly about me he said, "There's a girl in this class that thinks she's so hot, but all of her boyfriends are really not." Everybody started laughing and looked right at me. I wasn't embarassed or anything, I was laughing too. After school nothing much happened on my friday night other than going to Costco with my family (we got a BIG box of airheads, yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and watching Dear John, Valentines Day, and then falling asleep on my basement couch watching Bend it Like Beckham. Yeah.... Don't watch Valentines Day if you are in love with Bradley Cooper, your dreams of marriage with him die when you see him rub that guy from Grey's Anatommy (McSteamy) with a flower and stroking his face with pure love in his eyes. It's disgusting. I love the gays, I just hate seeing my soon-to-be husband doing that.
Saturday: I woke up at 5 on my basement couch and decided to go upstairs and slept till about 10. I tried tanning at about 11, but just sitting in the sun for a while got me too hot so I went inside. I got bored and as sad as it was, I was bored on the first morning of memorial day weekend. It's going to be a long summer. But eventually I came up with a plan and me and my sister went out boating on Lake Minnetonka with my grandparents! People might think it's lame, but I had a really good time. I missed the lake so much and the water was surprisingly inviting. I got super hot at Big Island though and had to crawl in. My sister was already in the water so I made her give me a piggy back ride to shore where I could walk without the water ruining my hair. My grandma, sister, and I decided to walk along the shore of Big Island. Big mistake. There's tons of logs and rocks so we were constantly running into things. But this walk was educational because we saw lots of drunks partying. We saw so many drunk guys and girls and it was only like 2 in the afternoon. Wow. They are going to have a rough morning. Most of them were drinking vodka, whiskey, etc straight from the bottle. Icky habit. One of them has to have alcohol posioning right now. What a great way to spend the weekend! haha or not... After being on the lake for a while we decided we should head back because we'd have to go through a lot of channels so it would take a while. When we got home Daddy made steak for himself, my grandma, Abby, and me :) my mom had chicken. We spent a lot of time on the deck and then me and Abby went to the park for a little bit and came back to find the adults in the same place we had left them in. We talked on the deck for a little while longer until I decided to go watch tv on the couch. I layed around for a while but then decided to go to bed early because I was exhausted.
Sunday (today) : I woke up pretty early after not sleeping well. I was the second person awake!!! I was pretty proud of that actually because usually I'm the last person. I layed around on the couch for a while until my dad and sister decided they wanted to go get haircuts. I went with because I wanted to get my eyebrows done. Bad idea. I came home an hour layer with a layer of skin missing above my left eye. Can you say ouch??? It hurt too bad to put neosporin on it so right now it's just kind of raw... but getting better! To get my mind off of the pain and shock over losing a valuable piece of myself my mom took me shopping to accessorize my 8th grade party outfit. I got Guess shoes at T.J. Maxx and I absolutely love them! I'm so tempted to wear them to school and show them off but I can't! All I can say is that they are gold sandals and possibly the greatest things ever. To go with these wonderful creations from God, I got a long hanging gold necklace from Target. The whole outfit looks GREAT! I can't wait to wear it on Friday! It's going to be so fun! After we got home from our excursion we just kind of hung out and then we decided to go out for dinner at Pizza Luce in Uptown even though we wanted to go to Joe's Garage downtown. It just wasn't a nice night to be on a rooftop deck or at the sculpture gardens. I was a little disappointed but hey, that's Minnesota for ya! Now I'm just hanging out and I'm pondering what movie I should watch on the couch tonight. I want to make plans with people for tomorrow so maybe I'll go do that.
I don't have too much going on this week so I'll either have a lot of time to blog or I'll have to blog about my doing nothingness. But I'll have a lot to say on Saturday after my party!
Goal for Tomorrow: Go outside and enjoy the sunshine :)

I'm not afraid :)

Wow busy couple days! Everybody ended up coming to my house and we had a really good time! My dog Sam totally embarassed me when she ran right through the screen door from the inside of the house and ended up breaking the door off... Dogs.... The dance recital was really good! My cousins did amazing and I'm so proud of them! My cousin who's a sophmore is soooo tall so it's easy to see her. My other cousin has a dance partner and they do really good in duets (all of this I've heard from my mom who heard it from my grandma who heard it from my aunt.) Anyways... I can't help but think back to when I danced. Of course, I was really bad back then but I still wish I wouldn't have quit. After the recital I went right to soccer practice and IT WAS SO HOT!!!!! The humidity was crazy high and we had to shorten our practice from one and a half hours to one hour. For 20 minutes we stretched and did yoga which was a change and super fun. For the remaining 40 minutes we just did easy drills that wouldn't make us sore for the next day. By the next morning I was so excited for my game. The day went shockingly slower than I anticipated, all that was on my mind was the game ahead of me. The humidity was still really high and I was extremely worried about getting too tired to make my beautiful sprints up the sideline. But when we got to Sonnesyn Elementary we were lucky enough to snag the shaded part of the sideline to warm up in. We were playing the Minnesota Thunder Academy and their team was short players so when we started on the field we had 11 players and they had 8 or 9. We also had 6 subs so we were at an advantage from the start. They eventually got 5 more players throughout the game. But I scored the first goal after getting an amazing cross from the sideline and kneeing the ball just above the goalie's head. LIla ended up getting the last two goals and we won the game 3 to 1. I thought I played okay but I could've done so much better. Today, Tuesday, my mom and I went shopping for a dress for the 8th grade party. I chose a pink strapless ruffled dress from Express and my mom is picking it up from Ridgedale tomorrow! I'm sooooo excited! Lucas said he's going to match with me so I guess he's going to have to wear a pink polo :) but he's being a good sport and saying he's doing it for me! haha he's cute. I have another soccer game tomorrow and I'm pretty nervous. It's against Eden Prairie and they kind of scare me.. I dont know why but they are just very intimidating but I know I'm going to try my absolute best tomorrow. I can't be afraid. I think that's all that happened the last few days... haha well that's all I can remember.
Goal for Tomorrow: My pre-game mantra is "I'm not afraid." Btw... This mantra was inspirted by the new song "Not Afraid" by Eminem so.... yeah :)

Rain, Rain Go Away! Please :)

Well today I had a super duper fun day planned with my buddies Marissa, Lucas, and CJ. But what did I see this morning???? Rainclouds, thunderheads to be exact. I wasn't too happy. Then I heard it would start clearing up by noon. Well the day was icky until about 2 after everybody changed their plans and decided to go to my house. And of course, my mom had something fun planned from 3:30-6 so I couldn't go to the beach with everybody anymore :( but at least my mom is letting me have them over tonight so that makes up for my disappointment this morning! So right now I'm "cleaning" my room and doing laundry. But I also happen to be on my blog so my room is being neglected. Tomorrow I'm going to my cousin Haley and Carley's dance recital so I'm really excited for that and then I'm going to soccer practice to prep for the game on Monday. Well I should probably go give my room some TLC.
Goal for Tomorrow: Enjoy the busy day :)

Shiny Things! :)

Overall, today was a wonderful day :) my rocket went 99 feet when it was supposed to go 100 so I was a little disappointed and I got wet in the process so that was like 1 minute of my life that I will never get back. The rest of the day was great and I borrowed Marissa's purple spandex! haha it was cute. I also got a really super cool shiny bracelet and I'm kinda mad at Mrs. Herrscher for asking me why I was putting shiny duct tape on my forehead because I'm sure she does it all the time??? After school I got to go talk to one of my friends that made me day brighter and right after that I had to rush over to soccer practice where I had to sprint the field 5 times but at least I played good. My ham strings may feel like they are about to snap but its all for the love of soccer! Now I'm just sitting around and procrastinating about taking a shower but it's mandatory because if I went to school tomorrow smelling the way I smell I would have no friends. Luckily life has been drama free for me and I'm loving it. Life is getting so much better and I love the new weather.... Saturday will be amazing :) Keep ya updated!
Goal for Tomorrow: Try to keep in my excitement for the weekend

Small Check Mark on my List :)

WE BEAT ST. MICHAEL!!!!! YES!!!!! 2 to 1 BABY!!!!!! We got two goals thanks to Natalie Roy who took to direct kicks from a couple fouls the other team had. I personally thought I played really well... Some highlights from my game are: my super fast break aways, knocking over a couple fat girls, kicking a ball in a girls face, and having 2 defenders assigned to me. Funniest line from the whole game, "Block number 16! Get in front of her! Don't ever move away from her, she's fast and aggressive! We don't need anymore shots on goal!" And here I am... Number 16 thinking, "Uhhh don't even try! I'm faster and stronger. Thanks! I am fast and I am aggressive, but you guys need shots on goal because you guys are a little on the high end of the scale so the extra workout is like a favor!" You might think this is super mean of me to think but take into account that they were called for pushing and elbowing about every 2 minutes of the game and never stopped. They were an aggressive and mean team. After a really strong game on my half of the field we had to shake hands and a couple girls spit on their hands so.... I can pretty much say whatever I want about them now! But overall I played super well and in our tournament a few weekends ago you could tell that I had taken a year off from soccer, but this time I didn't notice it. I'm trying not to get too cocky though because some teams are a lot better than the one we played. I'm blaming our victory on my new cleats and spandex :) I have soccer practice tomorrow and I really hope Coach Michaela likes what we did! Also, tomorrow I have to shoot off my rocket and I'm a little nervous because I want it to go super far so I get a good grade. Tomorrow overall will just be wonderful day and I'm super duper excited for it. I'll let you know if the day meets up with my expectations :)
Goal for tomorrow: Try my best in soccer practice so I can improve and play even better in our game next monday!

My Day in a Nut Shell :)

Today not too much was on my mind. I started out the day tired... I hate waking up now but I'm petrified of waking up too late to straighten my hair in the morning so I get up in a paniced mood. In advisory we went outside to play kick ball with Mr. Carr's class and Alison and I were the only girls who would play. Note: I was barefoot and Alison was in a dress in flip flops. But nonetheless, we were a valuable asset to our teams. I got out the first time but luckily the second time when I bunted it I got all the way around the bases but not a homerun. The rest of the day went like normal except for my communications speech. I wore black dressy pants and high heel peep toe shoes... Matt Payne said I looked like a mom?? I was thinking have you ever seen a mom dress like this? Uhh.... no! But overall my speech was pretty good and I was surprised that Mr. Carlson wasn't mad about my Republican poster and interesting comments towards Barack Obama. The rest of the day was boring and I just got back from a walk with my mom. I'm about to go eat pizza (my favorite food above all) and then going flower shopping with my grandma that lives 7 doors down. I'm excited because I rarely get time alone with my grandma because her and my sister Abby are really close. Tomorrow I need to leave my house super early so I can go to my soccer game all the way up in St. Michael. The game starts at 6:30 and we need to be there an hour early. Unfortunately, the traffic is sooooo bad getting up there so I need to leave my house between 4:30-4:45 and I probably won't get home until at least 8 at night. Lets hope I dont have any homework!! I'm excited for the game because my daddy is going to be there and for some reason I play more aggressively when he's in the crowd watching. I also get to play my first game with my new Nike yellow soccer shoes which have sharp plastic cleats on the bottom. My cleats have almost injured 2 of my teammates (sorry Alexis and Emily). I'll try to update on the blog about the score and how I played!
Goal for Tomorrow: Beat St. Michael :)

Hello World :)

Hi! My name is Emily, well duh but yeah. I was born on Halloween and most people think that's either super cool or like really weird, but I always hated it because people would say, "Wow, that's so cool! You get candy on your birthday!" It's like... yeah I do, but nowadays people have candy all the time so why is getting it on one day so special? I now love having my birthday on Halloween because nobody has an excuse for forgetting it. I grew up dancing but I'm now a huge fan of soccer. I hate watching it on t.v. or watching other people play but it's really fun when I can play myself. I play forward most of the time which means I get the ball and score. I like playing because it makes me feel really fast and aggressive when I pass/knock over the defense in order to achieve what I wanted. For being 5'1" I'd say I'm a pretty fast sprinter. I usually beat defensive people to the ball and when I don't that's when I get mad and get aggressive. Since I'm a good runner and enjoy running I joined cross country in 7th grade and I think it's really fun. Most people think cross country isn't a sport or that it's super easy but it's not easy by any means. But before I can play sports school has to come first. I've always gotten good grades and I usually live up to my parents expectations (except for getting a C+ in DeVoe's class for like no reason). After school and sports are over my family is my next important thing. My parents love each other and I have a little sister who used to act like me when we were little but now she's very independent and excels at gymnastics. She trains about 4 times a week and now her body is super muscular. All of my grandparents are still alive and I even have a 91? year old great grandma. I have 3 uncles and 2 aunts and from these aunts and uncles I have my cousins: Haley (16), Carley (almost 14), Gabriella (almost 11), Ben (9), Olivia (7), Sophia (4), and Ian (almost 4).
People ask me all the time what my nationalities are so here's the list: British, Czechoslovakian, Polish, Swedish, Norweigian, Austrian, and French-Canadian. But overall, I just refer to myself as an American mutt. In my family we have two dogs who are like my sisters. Samantha Autumn is a 10 year old chocolate labrador and the love of my life. She is my best friend, I can't imagine my life without her. She enjoys long walks and eating cheez-its on the couch with me. Our other dog, Lucy Brady Jane Harlow Winter Kate Madden, is a chocolate lab as well. She's 2 years old and I used to like her. I begged and begged for her but now I get annoyed with her. We adopted her when she was a puppy and she's gotten naughtier by the day. She enjoys long walks, but unfortunately I hate taking her. She might be my friend someday but right now, that's doubtful. Another important thing in my life are my friends. I've always had a tight-knit group of friends throughout elementary school. But moving from Osseo to Wayzata was a change and I bonded better with guys. My bad judgement didn't get me anywhere and now I have a great group of girls that I love very, very much (no homo). My close group of friends are: Marissa, Alison, Lily, Maya, and Kaitlin. They have been there for me through all the bad times and I'm really lucky to know such nice people. Spending time with my girlfriends is probably the highlight of my week. Aside from sports, school, family, and friends I also go to church. I didn't grow up with a religious house but I choose to go to confirmation and sunday services (when I have time). It surprises a lot of people that I choose to go but my church friends are really fun to be around and make the whole church experience more enjoyable. I'm probably forgetting stuff but that's basically my life... more later :)
